Amazon concordance

Jason just showed me the new Concordance feature on Amazon. I'm not sure how useful it is, but it's interesting and pretty slick. It gives you a Flickr-tag-style map of the 100 most popular words in the book.

For example, the concordance of Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver looks something like this:

Quicksilverconcordance-1

Clicking on one of the terms searches for it in the text of the book itself, for example: Leibnitz

With a little swipe and replace, a person can use the amazon.com concordance in their own book.

I don't know how useful it is either, but it was fun.
