New Media Censorship

I haven't seen too much coverage on this, but it just seems outrageous. According to Baptist Press, Proctor & Gamble has been the target of a boycott led by AFA, the American Family Association.

That's right, the same folks who decided you shouldn't watch that episode of Postcards from Buster featuring the two-mom Vermont maple syrup-making family.

AFA apparently didn't like it that P&G brands ran ads on TV shows like Will & Grace and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, as well as various websites that promote the dreaded homosexual lifestyle.

According to BP, AFA recently called off the boycott. Why? Because P&G has pulled its ads from these media properties. "They have done enough to show us that they are no longer promoting the homosexual lifestyle," AFA President Tim Wildmon told Baptist Press April 19.

Thank goodness, we're all safe again.
